Proud of its identity, Pays Bigouden is full of treasures to discover. The Hôtel de Loctudy, not far from the famous Pointe de La Torche, is an ideal base camp for exploring the region. Here is a non-exhaustive list of tourist activities around the hotel.
Loctudy
Loctudy is located on the mouth of the Pont-L’Abbé river, opposite Île-Tudy, which you can reach by small ferry to discover its port, its heritage and its magnificent south-facing beach.
Loctudy has no less than 5 beaches, including Langoz beach, a 10-minute walk from the hotel, and is home to a nautical center which offers kayaking and paddle boarding activities. Facing south, the beaches of Loctudy are protected from large swells and perfect for family swimming.
Loctudy is also crossed by the GR34 and the 45 Roscoff-Saint Nazaire cycle route.
The Conserverie Alexis Le Gall, the last witness to the adventure of fish canning in Brittany, recounts an industrial and human epic. This new cultural establishment in Pays Bigouden is one of three of its kind in Europe.
